Mutwa and learn of the work he is doing in the fight
against Aids using local herbs.
Credo is widely regarded as the spiritual leader of
the Zulu's. A High Sanusi and trainer of Sangoma's,

ancient wisdom keeper, sought after International speaker
and storyteller, Credo is a remarkable yet humble man.
His books include Indaba my Children, Song of the Stars,
Isilwane among others.

DAY 10. MAGALIESBURG / NORTHERN DRAKENSBURG
We depart Magaliesburg after breakfast and we travel
south from Gauteng for a leisurely journey down to the
northern section of the Drakensberg Mountains. This
World Heritage Site is the product of millions of years
of sculpting by the elements. The foundations of the
mountain range reach back billions of years. Its formation
provides a fascinating story, and its imposing rock
walls and deep, green valleys have provided a home for
an ever-changing variety of life through the ages. Eons
before the Drakensberg mountains were formed the place
was part of a shallow depression fed by inland waters.
It was an enormous inland lake, the waters of which
floated upon a vast area of an ancient land mass called
Gondwanaland. This supercontinent included Africa, Australia,
New Zealand, South America and Antarctica.
Our first stay in the “Dragon Mountains”
is at Tendele Camp. Situated on the mountain slopes
Tendele has awesome views of the spectacular Amphitheatre
– a crescent of 1000 metre sheer basalt cliffs.
After check in we will have a group attunement in this
sacred power place.
Dinner and overnight at Tendele Camp. D/B/B.
DAY 11. NORTHERN DRAKENSBURG
Today we explore our spectacular surroundings and
tune in to the sacred Mont-Aux-Sources, the highest
dome rising from the 4 kilometer Amphitheatre wall
and the source of 5 rivers. Of these, the Thukela
plummets 948m in five clear leaps, making it the
world’s second highest waterfall. In winter
the Fall’s in the upper reaches occasionally
freeze to create dazzling columns of ice. Mont-Aux-Sources
is energetically linked to Table Mountain and a

| place of the great spinner wheel
situated in Cape Town. Other prominent peaks that
we will see include the Eastern Buttress, the Sentinel,
the Inner Tower and Devil’s Tooth. Dinner
and overnight at Tendele Camp. D/B/B. |
DAY 12. NORTHERN DRAKENSBURG
After breakfast we enjoy another day exploring the Royal
Natal National Park, the ancestral home of the San hunter-gatherers
who inhabited this region for centuries, and who left
behind a legacy of thousands of Rock Paintings. The
Stoneage San were a people of the eland, and their culture
was based on hunting these largest of antelope with
bows and arrows. Their activities were reflected on
the walls of their shelters by their artists –
the battles, the hunts, the animals and birds, the mythological
beings, bees and fish, ladders and digging sticks, dances
and families. Some of these paintings date back as far
as AD 970, and the most recent to around AD1720 –
1820.
Quiet time will be afforded for contemplation and for
hiking in this special place, once the mountain wilderness
of the San Bushmen who lived their life of oneness with
their world.
Dinner and overnight at Tendele Camp. D/B/B.
DAY 13. CENTRAL DRAKENSBURG
Check out after breakfast and we depart the northern
Drakensburg aboard the bus for the journey to the Central
Berg region where we check into the Giants Castle Reserve.
Originally proclaimed a protected area in 1904, the
peak that gave the region its name, is one of the most
conspicuous and recognizable of all within the world
heritage site.
The Giant, as it is popularly known, can be conquered
by walking and scrambling up Giant’s Castle Pass
or taking one of the several rock-climbing routes to
the summit.
Mafadi (3446m), Injasuti Dome (3379m) and Makheka (3461m),
are the 3 highest peaks in South Africa. Also prominent
within Giant’s Castle are the three long, unbroken
rock walls Red Wall, Trojan Wall and Long Wall, plus
the passes that were dynamited during the 19th century
to prevent the San Bushmen from launching cattle raids
against white settlers in the valleys below.
After settling into our beautiful thatched cottages,
we will take time to connect with this area with a group
attunement before a sumptuous dinner.
Dinner & overnight at Giants Castle Reserve. D/B/B.
DAY 14. CENTRAL DRAKENSBURG
After breakfast, we will take a gentle hike along
the pathways of the reserve to the Main Bushman
Caves in the area. Giant’s Castle caves contain
San art and we will visit the Main Cave’s
museum, where audio-visual and standing displays
depict the ‘home life’ of these tragic
nomads.
Our experience at this site impels us to include
group clearing work as part of the days activities.
A leisurely return to our Camp and free time to
relax in the idyllic |

DAY 15. CENTRAL DRAKENSBURG
The nature of In-Spirit tours demands flexibility for
we are constantly attuned to both the group and individuals
needs. Where appropriate we will, by concensus, alter
the itinerary to suit the mood of the group. Time permitiing,
during our 3 night stay in the central Berg we will
explore the Mdedelelo Wilderness area, named in Zulu
after ‘he who cannot be overcome’ –
the imposing, sheer-faced and flat-topped block known
in English as Cathkin Peak, and adjacent Mount Memory
with its cross honouring those who died in the Second
World War. We will also visit Monk’s Cowl and
Champagne Valley, the home of the internationally-renowned
Drakensberg Boys Choir, whose three decades of mountain-top
performances have reached legendary status.
Much time will be spent in attuning to the energies
and rock beings of this sacred power place situated
on the main energy grid from Cape Town to Giza.
Dinner & overnight at Giants Castle Reserve. D/B/B.
DAY 16. VALLEY OF 1000 HILLS
Check out after breakfast and drive to the Valley of
1000 Hills just north of Durban where we check into
our hotel. This afternoon we experience local Zulu culture
at Izintaba Village styled in the typically 19th century
Zululand style, which replicates those of King Shaka’s
time.
Evening meditation after dinner.
Dinner and overnight at Valley of 1000 Hills. D/B/B.
DAY 17. DURBAN
Closing meditation after breakfast before packing for
the short drive to Durban Airport and the return journey
home via Johannesburg. Depart South Africa.
DAY 18. HOMEWARD FLIGHT
Arrive home.
