SAFETY GUIDE >WHAT TO PACK

Generally speaking South Africa has a warm climate throughout summer and a fairly mild winter. If you are travelling pack cool and comfortable clothes and shoes. If you are travelling to South Africa in the winter be sure to pack warm clothes. Even though it is fairly mild, some days can be rather chilly.

If you're going on safari, pack comfortable walking shoes and khaki, brown or beige casual clothes. Long-sleeved shirts and trousers will help protect you against the sun and insect bites.

Take a warm jacket for game drives; and, if you're going in summer, make sure it's water-proof.

Smart-casual clothes for evening wear, although a few up-market destinations will expect something more formal.
Be sure to pack sun-block or suntan-lotion and sunglasses!
Binoculars and camera for Game Viewing, Torch for evenings, Dowsing Rods to check energy lines are all recommended.

Above all, an open mind and a willingness to have fun.
